Please be advised that this weekend, Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, Rutgers University will be hosting multiple events which will take place on the Cook, Douglass, and Busch Campuses. Please review the following events and associated road closures as they may impact traffic in your area. Please proceed with due caution and follow the directions of assigned officers and attendants for detours and parking locations.
1. On Saturday, October 25, 2014, high school band competitions are scheduled to take place at HighPoint Solutions Stadium between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. The following areas will be closed for the duration of the event:
-The West Parking Lot adjacent to the Stadium
-Sutphen Road between the West Lot and Scarlet Knight Way
-Scarlet Knight Way between the Busch Campus Circle and Sutphen Road
2. On Sunday, October 26, 2014, the “Run for RAH” charity event is scheduled to take place on Busch Campus between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Please expect temporary road closures and detours on the Busch Campus roadways to accommodate safe passage for the runners.
3. On Sunday, October 26, 2014, a charity walk for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is scheduled to take place on the Cook and Douglass Campuses between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. The following areas will be closed for the duration of the event:
-College Farm Road from Route 1 to Dudley Road
-Dudley Road from Nichol Avenue to Biel Road
-Nichol Avenue from Dudley Road to Lipman Drive (one side of the road will remain open for vehicular traffic)
-Lipman Drive from Nichol Avenue to Dudley Road
