Female assaulted while jogging in the remote area of Shadow Mountain Road near Rivers Edge in Silver Lakes.
On Thursday, October 23, 2014 at approximately 11:45 a.m., a female adult called 911 and reported she was assaulted while jogging in the remote area of Shadow Mountain Road near Rivers Edge in Silver Lakes.
Victor Valley Deputies and Detectives and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Aviation Division responded and contacted the victim. The victim told deputies she was jogging when she was grabbed from behind and pushed down to the ground on her hands and knees. She did not see the suspect but felt something sharp against her cheek. Within seconds, the suspect ran away in an unknown direction. The victim received a superficial cut to her arm she believes resulted from the object the suspect held. The injury was minor and did not require treatment. The victim ran to her neighbor’s house and called 911. The only description we have is a male who was possibly wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood.
The Investigation is ongoing. Detectives have canvassed the surrounding neighborhood; however no one saw or heard anything.
