iWatchHarrisCounty App Users Do It Again; Tips Lead to Drugs and Arrests

(HOUSTON, TX) - Several tips to the HCSO's mobile app, iWatchHarrisCounty, led deputies to two separate locations earlier this week where drugs were being sold; several people were arrested.

The first location was an apartment located at 19800 Atascocita Shores Dr. in Humble where drug activity was suspected.

When deputies arrived, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. Inside, deputies observed marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in plain view, along with a shotgun.

After a search warrant was obtained, deputies searched the apartment and recovered drugs, drug paraphernalia such as scales, ledgers, and packaging material, as well as cash. The drugs are estimated to have a street value of approximately $19,000.

Deputies arrested Cory Miller, 22, for possession of marijuana with a deadly weapon enhancement. A felony warrant was issued for a second person not yet in custody.

In an unrelated case, deputies responded to a house
in the 7200 block of Skylight Ln. in northwest Harris County after receiving several iWatch tips about drug activity at the location.

When deputies arrived they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from three individuals in the driveway.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies found inside the house marijuana, scales, drug ledgers, narcotics packaging material, and a gun reported stolen in 2001.

In all, four individuals were arrested. They are:

Justin Brown, 26- posession of marijuana with a deadly weapon enhancement; and possession with intent to deliver with a deadly weapon enhancement.

Brandon Brown, 20- Possesion of marijuana

Amber Rios, 26- Felony theft warrant

Chasse Brown, 30 - Driving without a license with prior conviction; and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
