JACKSON COUNTY: On October 21, 2014 around 12:30 PM, a Columbus man was found dead in his pick-up truck after crashing it into a fence along SR 11 just northeast of I-65. According to Indiana State Police Trooper Matt Holley, Delbert Kinsey, 65 of Columbus, Indiana was driving a tan 1998 Isuzu pick-up truck northbound on SR 11 east of I-65 when his truck left the roadway and struck a fence line and a sign on the south side of SR 11. KINSEY was found inside the vehicle, slumped over the steering wheel with the truck still running and in the drive position. Trooper Holley believes KINSEY may have experienced a medical event before the crash.

Trooper Matt Holley was assisted at the crash scene by Jackson County EMS and Jackson County Coroner's Office.
