Synopsis: A male was sitting in his 1998 Lexus sedan in the parking lot of his apartment complex at 9600 Genesee Avenue. Twenty two year old Anthony Lopez came up to the male and simulated having a weapon. He forced the male out of the vehicle. The vehicle was located in the San Clemente area by the US Border Patrol. A pursuit ensued and Lopez crashed into two vehicles and then fled on foot. Lopez was taking into custody nearby. No one was injured in the crash. Northern Division and a Robbery Unit detective responded and took custody of Anthony Lopez. The Robbery Unit is investigating.
