#008: Stolen Vehicle
Officer Boyd was patrolling the area of Paseo Padre/Decoto Road and received a LoJack hit in the area. She eventually located the stolen vehicle, a 2015 Lexus IS3 stolen out of Newport Beach, traveling in the area of San Pedro Drive/Thornton Avenue. A 35 year old male was taken into custody and arrested for driving a stolen vehicle.
#011: Phone Scam
A victim called 911 to report that he was contacted by the “US Crime Department” who told him he must send them $2000. The victim complied and sent the money. The same people called again and threatened the victim’s family if he didn’t send more money. He then contacted the Police Department. Please continue to help spread the word that these phone calls area a scam. The IRS only uses written communication and will not call anyone to collect a dept.
#003: Possession of Dangerous Drugs
A neighbor on Vineyard Avenue called about a male who had parked his vehicle and was apparently sleeping inside. Officers arrive and contact a 32 year old male who was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and placed under arrest.
#034: Trespassing
An employee at the Burger King located at 5 Corners (Irvington) called about a customer who was causing a disturbance and yelling profanities. Officers arrive and soon locate well-known local offender. He was given a trespass notice to stay away from the Burger King.
#045: Driving on a Suspended License
Officer Ramsey conducted a traffic stop near Fremont Blvd and Enea Court and contacted a 32 year old male who was found to be driving with a suspended license. The male was cited for driving on a suspended license.
#001: Warrant Arrest
Officer T. Bobbitt served a warrant near the 32000 block of Lake Bridgeport and arrested a 39 year old male for his outstanding felony warrant.
#005: Robbery (Arrest)
At 3:30 a.m. the clerk at the Hub CVS called to report a male entered the store and passed a note stating he had a gun. The clerk reported that the male left the store without brandishing a gun. Officers spotted the suspect running north across Mowry Avenue. A perimeter was established quickly and the suspect was located hiding in an apartment complex and gave up without incident.
