Suspect Pedro Cruz Arrested for Raping a 16 Year Old Female in Victorville he Met on Facebook

SUSPECT: Pedro Cruz, 21, Hesperia
VICTIM: Confidential, 16 year old female
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, October 18, 2014, the victim agreed to meet Pedro Cruz to go to a party in Victorville. Cruz was a subject the victim met on-line through Facebook and had developed a friendship. Cruz met the victim at her home and they drove to a liquor store in Victorville and purchased alcohol to take to the party. Cruz drove the victim to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted her. Cruz then drove the victim home without further incident. The following day the victim disclosed the event to her Grandfather who called law enforcement authorities.
Through the investigation, information was collected which led to the arrest of Cruz. Cruz was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is being held on $250,000 bail.
