Public Help Sought in Overnight Fire
Vigo County—The Indiana State Police is currently investigating an overnight fire at Ron’s Style Shack located at 653 East Springhill Drive in Terre Haute. The fire is being investigated as arson.
Preliminary investigation revealed a nearby business called Vigo County Central Dispatch via 911 at 3:21 this morning, reporting a fire at Ron’s Style Shack. Honey Creek Fire Department and ISP Troopers were dispatched to the scene. The fire was located inside the business and quickly extinguished. Unknown person(s) are believed to have forced open the rear door of the business and initiated the fire in multiple locations. The interior of the business is believed to be a total loss.
Indiana State Police is seeking help from the public with this investigation. Anyone who may have noticed a suspicious vehicle and/or person(s) near the business is asked to call the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114. Callers can remain anonymous.
The case is being investigated by ISP Trooper Shayne Roman. Assisting were Trooper Kyle Hall and Indiana Department of Homeland Security and State Fire Marshal Investigator Chad Ford.
Assisting the Honey Creek Fire Department in their fire suppression efforts were Riley Fire/Rescue Department, Sugar Creek Township Fire Department, and the Seelyville Fire Department.
