Deputies located the suspicious vehicle and contacted the occupants (Magana and Alvarez). During the preliminary investigation deputies observed a catalytic converter lying on the rear-passenger floorboard. The two subjects were detained pending further inquiry. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded three additional catalytic converters hidden inside.
