Personnel from the Arcadia Police and Fire Departments participated in a joint mass casualty training exercise held at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall on Wednesday morning, October 15^th, 2014. 

The exercise, which also included the participation of mall security officers, focused on a collaborative multi-agency response to a mass casualty incident.   As first responders, we recognize the importance and value each agency plays in successfully resolving critical incidents.  As such, we value training opportunities, like this, which increase inter-agency communication and familiarization, in order to be better prepared to resolve any critical incident which may arise.  Additional training exercises are expected to be conducted in the future.
