On October 15, 2014, at approximately 0715 hours, Mayfair High School (located at 6000 Woodruff Avenue, Lakewood) staff found a noose hanging from a tree located on campus. 

Lakewood Sheriff’s Station is investigating the incident and we take these cases very seriously.  We are assisting the school staff in the investigation and determining if there is any criminal activity associated with this investigation. 

Lakewood Sheriff’s Station continues to provide safety for the citizens and community we serve.  We will have deputies patrolling our neighborhood schools to ensure the safety of our students.
