Newhall, Zone 6, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Info for the week of 10/06/14 through 10/12/14.
A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week.
On Thursday the 9th, at 11:35 a.m., a strong arm robbery occurred in the 21200 block of Oakleaf Canyon Road. The victim believes the suspect and an unknown driver may have followed her home and confronted her in front of her house. The suspect took jewelry from the victim and fled in a white 4 door vehicle.
Late Saturday the 11th, a 28 year old male reported he had been assaulted by 2 unknown male Hispanics while he was sitting in a car with his girlfriend on 15th Street. The victim did not recognize the other male’s and did not know why he was attacked.
Between Friday the 3rd, and Sunday the 7th, a residential burglary occurred in the 23600 block of Meadowridge Drive. The suspect entered through a window and took electronics.
On Saturday the 11th, at 12:36 a.m., a suspicious fire started inside an attached garage in the 24300 block of Cork Oak Lane. Approximately $40 in damaged occurred and the incident is currently being investigated by arson detectives.
Between Wednesday the 1st, and Sunday the 12th, a bicycle and a laptop were stolen from the 21700 block of Placerita Canyon Road. The bike’s cable had been cut and the laptop had been left unattended.
On Monday the 6th, between 2:26 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., a package was stolen from a mailbox in the 22100 block of Placeritos Boulevard.
On Monday the 6th, between 8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., two bikes were stolen from an open parking area in the 24300 block of Newhall Avenue. The bikes had been left unattended and unlocked.
