DO NOT give out your personal information out over the telephone. There are many phone SCAMS requesting your personal information. Such as name, birth date and social security numbers. Attempt to contact the Agency for whom the subjects say they are with to verify they are who they say they are. Request information from the subject who is calling you. Many times these individuals will simply hang up once they know that you are onto them. If you are asked to purchase any type of card, like a Green Dot card and are asked to place money onto that card, this is also a type of Scam. If you feel you are a victim of a scam contact the police department.
