The American Cancer Society's Annual Walkathon "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2014. The walkathon will officially begin on Park Place with participants following a pre-designated five mile course through downtown Newark. This event will require the closing of several streets in the downtown area including Broad Street between South Street and Bridge Street. The event is scheduled to be completed by 1pm.
