Criminal Mischief Reported at the Field of Dreams in Absecon – 10/15/14 
The Absecon Police Department is investigating a criminal mischief complaint which occurred at the Field of Dreams playground area located in the Absecon Sports Complex - 1000 Morton Ave.
Police responded to the Field of Dreams on Tuesday October 14 at 3:30pm, for a report of criminal mischief. Caretakers of the field and playground area advised police that someone poured Canola Oil all over the special needs playground equipment, making the metal and plastic surfaces slippery and unable to use. Police recovered an empty bottle nearby which was believed to have been used to damage the property. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime within the past 48 hours.
Police secured the area with yellow caution tape until a professional cleaning company could respond to clean the oil off of all the playground equipment. Police and Field of Dreams Officials are reviewing video surveillance cameras located at the field in an attempt to obtain a description of the suspect(s).
