On Tuesday October 14th at 11:46pm, APD officers were sent to the Toot-N-Totum at 4224 SW 34th reference a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival officers spoke with the employees who stated that a W/M had entered the store and handed the employees a note indicating that he had a weapon and demanded money and lottery tickets from the employee. The suspect managed to get one lottery ticket and one alcoholic beverage and left the store and was last seen driving a newer model sedan. As officers continued their investigation, they learned the suspect had been in the store at approximately 11:00pm and attempted to make a purchase but the electronic payment he was using was denied. Upon further investigation into the previous purchase attempt by the suspect, officers were able to identify the suspect and develop a possible address. Officers went to the address however the suspect was not located. A broadcast was put out on the suspect and vehicle description. A short time later an officer located the suspect and vehicle in the 4400 block of S Western. While talking to the suspect, officers were able to locate evidence indicating this was the suspect in the Robbery. The suspect is identified as Skyler Blake Tidwell W/M 21 of Amarillo. Tidwell was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Robbery.
