Detective says man caught on trail camera stealing scrap metal; now he faces two felony charges
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Roy Junior Hudson, 46, of Shelby, with one felony count each of larceny and obtaining property by false pretense.
On Aug. 4, Steve Melton, of Fairview, reported that someone had taken $1,100 worth of scrap metal and fencing from his property on Landis Lane in Nebo.
Alkire said Hudson was caught on trail cameras stationed around the property. He then allegedly sold the metal to a local scrap yard.
