The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has updated the weather forecast for Tuesday, October 14, 2014 to include an additional line of thunderstorms following closely behind the first squall line. The timing of both lines could change based on the speed of the line over the next few hours.
The primary threats still remain - damaging winds to 60 MPH, very heavy rain, flooding and flash flooding, and possible isolated tornadoes. The initial squall line may arrive in our area as early as 5 - 6 am.
The timing of the second line may fall around our afternoon commute between 4 & 5pm tomorrow. Please stay tuned for additional information regarding the second line of storms. EMA will closely monitor the situation this evening and tomorrow morning to provide you with additional updates throughout the day regarding your afternoon commute.
