Police Arrest Man Near Elementary School for Indecent Exposure and Resisting Arrest

On 10/09/14 at about 8:45 hrs Chula Vista Police Officers responded to 911 calls of a male suspect exposing himself in front on McMillin Elementary School on Santa Cora Avenue in Chula Vista . Police arrived minutes later and contacted a male in a nearby restaurant's bathroom matching the description. During the contact officers found the male in possession of marijuana and began to handcuff him. The male suspect attempted to strike one of the arresting officers and was taken into custody without injury. The officer was not injured. After speaking to several witnesses, the male was determined to be the same one seen in front of the school minutes earlier. The male, identified as Justine Sison, 24 was arrested and booked for felony resisting with violence, possession of marijuana and indecent exposure. There was no indication there were any student witnesses or victims.
School Officials were proactive in notifying parents and locating several adult witnesses for police. The School Principle sent out a letter via email notifying parents of the activity and reminding parents and students of safety rules if ever confronted with a difficult situation:
1. Children should always check first with you or another trusted adult before going anywhere, accepting anything, or getting into a vehicle with anyone. This applies to older children as well.
2. Children as much as possible should take a friend with them when they go places or play outside.
3. Children need to know they have the right to be safe. And when in need of help, children should keep asking until they get the assistance they need.
