Deputy charges pair with possession of counterfeit controlled substance and drug paraphernalia
Deputy Jason Cook of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 29-year-old Jeffrey Brandon Clontz, of Rockhouse Road in Marion, and 37-year-old Tracey Sue Silver, of Proctors Knob in Marion, with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a counterfeit controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, Cook and Deputy Jay Goins responded to Glenwood Avenue in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
When they arrived, they found a car – occupied by Clontz and Silver – sitting near the end of the road.
A subsequent search of the automobile turned up drug paraphernalia and small bags of a white substance believed to be horse vitamins that were allegedly crushed and packaged to sell.
