One injured in three car crash.

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on 10/8/2014 at approximately 1254 his office was called to Lagrange Township the intersection of Oak Grove and Beeson for a personal injury crash. 36 year old Cassopolis resident Virgil Cook was northbound on Oak Grove when he failed to yield for an oncoming vehicle causing a crash. The oncoming vehicle was driven by 45 year old Michael Ellis of Marcellus, Mr. Ellis was transported by ambulance to Borgess hospital in Dowagiac for further treatment. Due to being struck, Mr. Ellis' vehicle went out of control and into a Southbound vehicle stopped at the intersection driven by 34 year old Charles Ward of Cassopolis. Both Mr. Ward and his passenger, 31 year old Andrew Mckenna of Cassopolis, were uninjured. Seatbelts were used and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. This case remains under investigation. Assisting were the Cassopolis fire department and Lifecare ambulance.
