CITY OF SAUSALITO HOSTING DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AWARENESS DAY Saturday, October 11, 2014

The City of Sausalito’s Disaster Preparedness Committee cordially invites the public to attend the 2014 Disaster Preparedness Awareness Day. Watch demonstrations, educate yourself regarding how to prepare for emergencies, and talk to public safety professionals. This event is organized by the City of Sausalito’s Disaster Preparedness Committee along with the Sausalito Police Department, the Southern Marin Fire Protection District, the Sausalito Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS), the Southern Marin Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT), and Radio Sausalito 1610 AM.

The goal of the Disaster Preparedness Awareness Day is to educate the public regarding the importance of preparing themselves, their families, and their communities for emergencies. The public will also have the opportunity to learn what steps the City of Sausalito is taking to prepare for disaster preparedness and emergency management. This is an important event and free to the public. This event is being held in conjunction with the City of Sausalito’s Annual Yard Sale.
