A Carpinteria Man's Death is Under Investigation
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Carpinteria resident whose body was found by a passerby in the Carpinteria Salt Marsh on Saturday morning, October 4 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies responded along with Carpinteria Summerland Fire District personnel. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel also assisted with the investigation.
The male decedent is in his sixties. His name is not being released at this time due to the active investigation.
