Theft from construction site, some scrap metal items taken should be easily identified
A significant theft occurred over the weekend from a construction site under Mason St bridge, on the west side. One unique item that was stolen is a Large metal gate 1 foot x 1 foot x 22 feet long, red with reflective tape and a power box on the end. The gate weighed about 1300 lbs (It was part of the old crossing gate used on Mason st bridge.) Also taken were about 20 2" x 4" x 16' boards and 20 sheets of plywood 4' x 8' sheets. The suspect(s) used the site’s Caterpillar fork lift to transport items to the road in front of C. Reiss Coal Office and loaded items up.
