(Adams County, IN)- The Indiana State Police responded to and investigated a single vehicle crash that occurred late last night in which a man from rural Decatur was reportedly ejected from his vehicle.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Brent Lemberg indicated that at approximately 11:00 p.m., 34 year old Robert V. Rice was driving his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado northbound in the 8700 block of north County Road 300 E. The vehicle left the east side of the roadway when Rice tried to regain control and over corrected causing the vehicle to cross 300 E and leave the west side of the roadway. Rice's vehicle rolled over several times, and because he was not seat belted, Rice was ejected.
Rice suffered internal injuries and was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. His condition is not known at this time. Assisting at the crash scene were the Adams County Sheriff Department and the Decatur Police Department.
