UPDATE: This has been identified as a very low speed, single vehicle collision, with no injuries of any kind that occurred at about 1:30pm near the intersection of Pacific and S. Delaware. It now appears the outage is isolated mostly to the Fiesta Gardens Neighborhood in San Mateo.

Thank you for your patience and crews on scene are working to restore service. There remains no danger to the public at this time and we will continue to update you at Nixle.

SMPD Community Alert: A vehicle collision on a private property construction site on Pacific Avenue has caused damaged to a PG&E power pole. As a result, electricity to approximate 5000 customers has been temporarily knocked out. SMFD and SMPD are on scene and there is no current danger to the public or traffic delays in the area.

An emergency PG&E repair crew has been expedited to the scene and will work collaboratively with those already on scene to restore power as soon as possible. We will post updates to Nixle as needed.
