Domestic Violence Awareness Forum this Sunday. Read more. Good feature story for Nat. Dom Violence Awareness month.

LAPD's Mission Police Station and its Clergy Council will be holding its second Domestic Violence Awareness forum called, "The Truth About Domestic Violence."

"We had a positive response from our first session a few weeks ago,so we've scheduled a second one at St. Didicus Catholic Church in Sylmar for this Sunday at 7pm," said Capt. Todd Chamberlain, commanding officer of the Mission Police Station.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month.  With rise of domestic violence, recently noted by Chief of Police Beck, and a number of high-profile domestic violence incidents in the news, the forum is very relevant.
