Agents with the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit arrested an Idabel man today after an OSBI agent went undercover in a distribution of child pornography case. John Peters (d.o.b. 12/3/1981) was arrested at his home in the 1000 block of S.W. Hugo Avenue after OSBI agents, an investigator with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, and Idabel police officers served a search warrant looking for computer-related devices. Several devices were found inside the home. A preview of one revealed more than 100 images of child pornography. Images of a local child were also discovered.

Peters was arrested for distribution of child pornography, aggravated possession of child pornography (more than 100 images on a device), and manufacturing child pornography. He was booked into the McCurtain County jail.
