Burglary Arrests

LOCATION: Aldrin Road

Marquis G. Martin age 20 Asbury Park, NJ
Alex Beaubrun age 19 Asbury Park, NJ

NARRATIVE:
On 10/1/14 at approximately 12:39 am, officers from the Township of Ocean Police Department responded to an apartment on Aldrin Road in reference to a possible burglary in progress. The female tenant stated that she heard a male knocking at her door, whom she did not recognize. She then fled her apartment and dialed 911. Upon arrival, Sergeant Patrick Martin observed a suspicious male walking away from the scene. As other officers arrived they encountered two additional males inside the caller’s apartment and were not authorized to be there. All three subjects were placed under arrest.

An investigation revealed that the three pried open the apartment door and entered the apartment. Officers located a pry tool at the scene as well as two handguns belonging to the intruders. One of the handguns was a blank pistol and the other was a CO2 powered pellet gun. All three subjects were placed under arrest and taken into custody. The three were identified as Marquis Martin, Michael Ramos and Alex Beaubrun.

Marquis Martin was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. Michael Ramos was charged with burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Alex Beaubrun was charged with burglary, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and resisting arrest. Bail was set by Judge Timothy Mc Goughran. Bail for Mr. Martin and Mr. Beaubrun was $25,000.00 with a ten percent option and bail for Mr. Ramos was $40,000.00 with no ten percent option. All three subjects were taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold to await a future court hearing.

Additionally, a 2006 4-door Hyundai was seized under the state criminal forfeiture guidelines for being used in the commission of a crime.
