Arlington police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred last night. At about 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014, officers were dispatched to a shooting call at Crest Grove Drive and Crest Line Drive.

The original call came in when neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area. Officers arrived and learned that a 16-year-old male had been shot. He was driven by ambulance to Arlington Memorial Hospital, where he died a short time later. The deceased teenager has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner as Marcus Robinson of Arlington.

Homicide detectives are actively working this investigation and trying to determine if Mr. Robinson knew his assailant. It is still early in the investigation and too soon to determine the motive for this incident.
