Ice cream vendor in west Amarillo robbed Friday night...no arrests.

On 9-26-14, at 8:25 PM, officers were sent to NW 2nd and Bowyer on an armed robbery.  The victim, a HM 58, had finished selling ice cream from a push cart in the neighborhood and was getting back into his van when the robbery happened.  The victim saw the suspect walk by him once and then circle back by.  He asked the victim for a cigarette and asked him if he had any ice cream.  When the victim told him he did not have any more ice cream, the suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at him.  He demanded money.  The victim gave the man the money he was carrying.  The suspect then left, heading south on Bowyer and then west on NW 1st.  The suspect was a Hispanic male about 18-20 years old, 5ft. 1 inch tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored hat and a blue and black striped shirt.  No one was injured and there have been no arrests.  If you have any information on this man that was walking in the area of 2nd and N. Bowyer Friday night, call the Amarillo Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
