On September 27, 2014 at approximately 6:07 pm Officers of the Burlington Police responded to the intersection of North Street and North Winooski Avenue in the City of Burlington Vermont for a report of a one vehicle crash with a pedestrian involved.
Officers would learn that a vehicle being operated by Francis Metivier, was traveling west on North Street, turning left (south) onto North Winooski Avenue. At this time a pedestrian was running on the south sidewalk, east on North Street and entered into the roadway.
The investigation is on-going, but speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The victim was treated on the scene by Burlington Fire Department Ambulance and transported to the FAHC for the treatment. The jogger remains hospitalized with a fractured hip and head injuries.
