APD investigating two early morning armed robberies...no arrests at this time...
On 9-27-14, at 3:26 AM, officers pulling into the parking lot of the Toot 'n Totum at 5409 Amarillo Blvd East were met by a store employee who told them that a robbery had just occurred. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 7 to 10 inches tall, thin, with a goatee and glasses. He was wearing a black tee shirt with writing in large red and orange letters on the front and hatchet man logo on the back. The suspect was armed with a knife. He demanded money from the clerk and fled the store east bound on foot. An undetermined amount of money was stolen. There were no injuries or arrests.
The second robbery was reported at about 4:45 AM. Officers responded to the Whataburger at 4111 SW 45th on a robbery. In the incident, the suspect was described as an unknown race male, fully covered, wearing navy colored coveralls, a white t-shirt underneath, and a hockey mask over his face. He was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the store employees. The suspect fled from the store with money and no injuries were reported.
