Man stabbed during dispute on Ong St., later booked for aggravated assault.
On 9-25-14, at approximately 10:15 PM, officers were dispatched to 3200 S. Washington, an AFD fire station, on a subject that had been stabbed. Upon arrival, officers contacted the man initially believed to be the victim in the incident, Chad Wayne Goode W/M 24. He had been driven to the fire station by a female witness to the incident. He was bleeding profusely from a severe laceration on the left side of his upper body. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. During the investigation, officers learned the incident occurred at a residence in the 1600 block of S. Ong. Mr. Goode went to the residence and engaged in a physical altercation with the homeowner. Initial information is that the fight was in the front yard. Mr. Goode brandished a bat and attempted to strike the homeowner. The homeowner struck Mr. Goode in the upper back area with what was believed to be a sword. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigations responded to the scene. After interviewing the parties involved and reviewing the evidence found, it was determined that Mr. Goode was the aggressor. Mr. Goode was medically cleared and then transported to the PCDC and booked on the original charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
