APD investigating report of female teenager taken from parking lot...no missing female reported.

Tonight at 7:40 PM, officers were sent to the La Fiesta Grande restaurant in the 2200 block of S. Ross on a suspicion call. Two children were playing in the area west of the restaurant when they heard what they described as a 14 to 15 year old Hispanic female screaming. They saw a white male adult physically pick up the screaming girl and place her in the back seat or extended cab cargo area of a white, older model pickup. The male then got into the same area of the cab where he placed the girl.  The vehicle then left northbound on S. Ross. The children reported this incident to adults and officers were sent to the scene. At this point, there is no report that a HF is missing. Officers have been unable to locate any other witnesses to this event. At this time, they are unable to determine if this was a criminal event or an adult parent or family member forcing a child to accompany them away from the parking lot. If you know anything about this incident or are aware of a HF about 14 that has been missing since earlier this evening, please call the Amarillo Police Department at 378-3038.
