UPDATE to Robbery and Kidnapping Investigation

Update to Robbery and Kidnapping Investigation:

The attached photo of the suspect in this case was taken as he stood outside the bank. The victim was inside the bank at the time.

The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 30’s or 40’s wearing a straw hat, sunglasses and a stocking or similar item covering his face. He had on jeans, a long-sleeve gray shirt, and gloves. He is of average build and approximately 5’-6” to 5’-10”.

The suspect was possibly seen driving away from Muller Drive in a silver 1990’s smaller station wagon type vehicle. There may have been a blue sticker in the rear window.

Anyone who saw a suspect matching this description on 9/23/14 is encouraged to call the Walnut Creek Police Department.

On 9/23/14, at approximately 11:55 am, the Walnut Creek Police Department received a 911 call reporting a robbery. The female victim was confronted in her front yard (400 block of Muller Road) by a male suspect armed with a gun. The suspect forced the victim to drive to a Bank of America branch in downtown Walnut Creek where she withdrew money. The suspect and the victim drove back to the victim’s neighborhood where she was released unharmed.

The Walnut Creek Police Department is asking anyone that may have witnessed this incident to call (925) 256-3518. Investigators are also seeking video footage from exterior home security cameras in the area of Lakewood Road around the time of this incident.
