TPD is investigating a homicide that occurred over the weekend 
On Saturday September 20, 2014 shortly after 8 PM, Torrance Police officers responded to an apartment in the 3800 block of 226th St in the City of Torrance in regards to a “man down.”
Officers arrived at the location and found an elderly female, 69 years, who was deceased as well as a male adult, 47 years of Torrance, who had several injuries.
Detectives arrived on scene and are investigating this incident as a homicide.
Torrance Police detectives have positively identified the victim and are waiting to notify the next of kin before releasing the victim’s identity. The injured male subject found in the apartment is in custody for murder and is known to the victim. There are no outstanding suspects at this time.
