Weapon Arrest

ACCUSED: Vincent K. Johnson-Haughton age 21 Long Branch, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 9/19/14 at approximately 11:58 pm, Officer Kyle Kane was on patrol in the area of the Asbury Park Circle when a vehicle failed to yield at an intersection nearly colliding with Officer Kane’s patrol vehicle. Officer Kane stopped the vehicle in order to issue a summons for the violation. While speaking with the driver, Vincent K. Johnson-Haughton, Officer Kane observed a machete type knife next to the center console. Mr. Johnson-Haughton was placed under arrest for the weapons violation.
Mr. Johnson-Haughton was charged one count of unlawful possession of a weapon and careless driving. He was released on complaint summonses to appear at a future court hearing
