Indiana State Police at the Bloomington Post Capture one of Ohio's Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives

Bloomington - On Friday night, the Indiana State Police at the Bloomington Post received a tip from an individual stating they believed they had come into contact with a person who was a Wanted Fugitive. The information received was regarding Louis J. Reynolds, 52, who was wanted out of Ohio.

Trooper Richard Klun took the information and contacted the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department in Lisbon, Ohio and learned they had multiple active warrants for Reynolds, dating back to 2009. One of those warrants declared Reynolds a Fugitive.

Warrant 1 - (4 Counts) Non-Support of Dependents, Felony Level 4
Warrant 2 - (1 Count Each) Theft , Felony Level 2 - Burglary, Felony Level 4
Warrant 3 - (1 Count) Ohio Governors Declaration of Wanted Fugitive for the State of Florida on Violation of Probation for Conviction of "Dealing in Stolen Property by Trafficking".

Trooper Klun’s investigation took him to a motel on Walnut Street in Bloomington and upon his arrival, a hotel employee indicated Reynolds had just left in a taxi, heading to a downtown bar. Trooper Klun was able to contact the taxi company and spoke with the driver who was with Reynolds. Trooper Klun remained on the phone while officers arrived at the hotel and took Reynolds into custody upon his return.

Assisting in this case was Senior Trooper Eric Russell, Trooper Riley Nungester and Monroe County Deputy Bryant Brooks.
