Narrative:
On 09-16-14, detectives with the East County Major Crimes Unit asked the media and public for assistance with solving two recent crimes that occurred on Thousand Oaks Blvd. between the 1800-2200 blocks. The crimes committed were a robbery on 08-25-14 and a grand theft person on 09-09-14.
After several news outlets broadcasted the story, investigators received information from a resident of Thousand Oaks that ultimately led to the arrest of a 15 year old male juvenile. A search warrant was served at the juvenile’s residence and evidence related to the crime was collected. The suspect was lodged in Juvenile Hall on robbery and grand theft person charges pending his hearing in Superior Court. Since the suspect is a juvenile there is no bail set.
