Juveniles arrested for burglary/theft in George, deputies seeking stolen property

GEORGE, Wash. (18SEPT2014) – Two 17-year-old boys are lodged in the Grant County Youth Service facility after being arrested by Grant County deputies for burglary and theft Wednesday afternoon.

Grant County deputies responded to 123 East Montmorency Boulevard in George for the report of a burglary which happened between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. During the investigation, deputies learned of two possible suspects. Deputies then found those two suspects a short distance away. One suspect, a 17-year-old George boy, was arrested. The other suspect, a 17-year-old Quincy boy, fled but turned himself into deputies later that day. Deputies recovered two .22 caliber pistols stolen during the burglary. Each suspect faces charges of first-degree burglary and theft of a firearm.

Deputies are still looking for several other pieces of property stolen during that burglary. These are the best descriptions of the items:

• $600-$800.00 in Susan B. Anthony dollar coins and loose change
• Several Vietnam-era military service medals, including a Purple Heart
• One digital SLR Camera, unknown make
• One pair of binoculars, possibly Swarovski or Leica-brand
• One heavy wool blanket with a wolf pictured on it
• One airgun rifle
• One Remington 1187 Supermag semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun, camouflage colored
• One unknown brand rifle scope
• One Savage model 33 rifle, serial #340 A
• One Winchester .270 rifle, serial #G1226028
• One Black Widow pocket pistol, serial #8W16644 with 2 extra .22 cylinders (1- .22 Long, 1 -.22 MAG)
