Two new sessions of Parent Project will begin in October.

Youth and Family Services, a program of the City of Fremont Human Services Division, is sponsoring two new sessions of the Parent Project series this fall.  Parent Project provides support to families within the Tri-City area through a series of courses that take place over 13-weeks. The program delivers results to help parents learn effective prevention and intervention techniques to help their teens grow into safe and competent adults.

The series is designed to achieve the following outcomes:

  •       Never argue again with your child
  •       Improve school attendance and performance
  •       Recognize or intervene in alcohol and other drug use
  •       Prevent and intervene in gang and other criminal activity
  •       Find solutions for violence, running away and suicide
  •       Improve family relationships and create peace in the home

Parent Project in English begins October 7, 2014, at the Fremont Family Resource Center

Parent Project in Spanish begins October 9, 2014 at Union City’s New Haven Adult School.
