Crystal Trivette, of Marion, charged with possessing a controlled substance in jail 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Crystal Carter Trivette, 35, of Banks Drive in Marion, with felony possession of a controlled substance in jail.
On Feb. 12, 2013, while being booked into the McDowell County jail, a routine search of Trivette’s person turned up a pipe.
The pipe was sent to the N.C. State Bureau of Investigations lab for testing. Alkire said the results recently came back positive for methamphetamine.
