Cooling Stations in Compton
In an effort to help Compton residents deal with the triple digit temperatures, the City of Compton has sponsored five “cooling stations” throughout the city. The cooling stations will be operating from 11:00am until 8:00pm, until Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Should the extreme temperatures continue past Thursday, the city will re-evaluate the need for continued cooling stations and will make further announcements.
