Downed Trees - Rancho San Diego

If you live in Rancho San Diego, be aware of heavy traffic in the 3600 block of Avocado Boulevard. Strong winds knocked down several trees in a shopping complex just after 3:00 p.m. No one was hurt.

Avocado Boulevard and Calle Verde are closed as crews work to clear debris. Avoid the area if you can. Deputies are on scene helping with traffic control. It is estimated that clean up could take up to three hours.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is also on scene assessing the power outage to determine the cause. For a map of the outage area, go to http://goo.gl/zPOZv. Questions about the outage can be referred to SDG&E at (800) 411-7343.
