Did you know that medicines in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisoning? Just as disturbing, are the alarmingly high rates of prescription drug abuse among teens.
A National study by The Partnership at Drugfree.org and the MetLife Foundation found teens who misuse or abuse prescription medicines get them from a family member or friend. More often than not, these drugs are found in our medicine cabinets.
This year U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Agent's (DEA) National Prescription Take-Back Day will be held Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please do your part in keeping our youths stay alcohol and drug free.
