INCIDENT: Hoax phone call to Cobb 911 about stabbing at Marietta Middle School
DATE: Monday, September 15, 2014 at 12:26pm
SUSPECT: 2 Juveniles
CHARGES: Misuse of 911; Disruption of Public School


The Marietta Police Department Detectives Division has cleared and released the student that was stated to have had a knife during yesterday’s incident. During the course of the investigation it was discovered the student did not bring the knife to school and was not part of the hoax phone call. No charges are being filed against the student.

Detectives have charged two juveniles for the hoax phone threat that was placed to the Cobb 911 Call Center. They are being charged with Misuse of 911 and Disruption of Public School.
