APD investigating two armed robberies, no injuries or arrests...

The first robbery was reported Monday, 9-15-14, at about 11:55 PM.  Officers were sent to the Murphy USA at 4209 Canyon Drive on an armed robbery.  The clerk said that a person walked in about 11:52 PM.  He was wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans, gloves, and a white plastic mask.  The clerk felt the person was a black male.  The suspect had a pistol.  He handed the clerk a plastic sack and told him to put the money in it.  The suspect left south bound on foot.  No vehicle was seen.  No one was injured in this incident.  

The second was reported on Tuesday morning at about 12:30 AM.  Officers were sent to the 5300 block of S. Western on a kidnapping/armed personal robbery.  The victim reported that he was kidnapped at gunpoint from 5000 S. Western, the parking lot of the U. S. Post Office, then forced to drive to 5050 S. Western to obtain money from ATM.  He then went to 5700 Canyon Drive., where the suspect was dropped off. The suspect had a pistol, dark thick clothing, and a white plastic hockey type mask. No one was injured in this incident. These incidents are still under investigation at this time.
