Sheriff’s Office to Join Red Cross Disaster Preparedness Efforts

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Sheriff Adrian Garcia will convene a news conference Tuesday to announce the Harris County Sheriff’s Office commitment to aid the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Red Cross in its efforts to equip Houston area residents with the resources needed to survive a disaster.

On Tuesday, September 16, 2014, the Sheriff will exhibit many of the heavy vehicles, vessels and equipment used during emergency response to natural disasters. Representatives from the American Red Cross will likewise showcase their fleet of emergency response vehicles during Tuesday’s news conference.
