Pomona Police Department received information that a 44 year old male martial arts instructor and owner of a Jiujitsu gym in Claremont had been engaged in an unlawful sexual relationship with a 16 year old female jiujitsu student over the last year.

Pomona Police Detective John Edson was to able to obtain evidence that substantiated the allegation. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed several felony counts to include unlawful sex with a minor. Prior to his arrest, the suspect fled the country and was thought to be in South America. On August 22, the suspect was arrested at Miami International Airport as he re-entered the US. He was held at the Miami Dade Correctional facility in Miami Fl. until he is was extradited to Pomona California where he is now facing felony charges for unlawful sex with a minor.
